Romney's Out, McCain's In

Mitt Romney dropped out of the Presidential race today, essentially making John McCain the Republican nominee.

That means this November, Americans have a choice between continuing the war in Iraq for 100 years or more or actively pursuing al Qaeda throughout the world, between bombing Iran or a surge in diplomacy, and between more wars or a regional solution in Iraq.

**Update**
From Marc Ambinder...

According to a campaign adviser, Sen. John McCain plans to arrive for his CPAC speech with Ex-VA Sen. George Allen.
Could Allen be on McCain's shortlist for VP? Allen would help McCain shore up the South and would balance the age of the ticket.

Macaca Allen is damaged goods, in my view, but who knows? He does have gubernatorial experience (even if he was a lousy governor).
