As all eyes were on Iowa on Thursday night, John McCain was campaigning in New Hampshire. McCain was asked about how long we will have troops in Iraq. McCain responds by saying we could be there for 100 years.

I have a series of questions in this most significant debate.
But first a threshold question. Are you a true paleocon, and oppose any foreign basing of US armed forces?
The answer is significant to the nature of the debate.
No, I don't oppose any foreign basing of US armed forces.
However I believe we do not need any permanent US bases in Iraq. We have a base in Kuwait. Why do we need to occupy Iraq?
