Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) has endorsed Hillary Clinton. Bayh is a former chair of the centrists DLC, just like another Cinton backer, Tom Vilsack. The spin is that the Bayh endorsement shows Hillary can compete in red states.
Bayh is a moderate Democrat whose blessing could help Clinton pick up votes in Republican states.

Oh please--no one outside the state of Indiana knows or cares who Bayh is. His endorsement is not going to mean a thing in red states.
And Indiana is not going to be in play with Hillary at the top of the ticket. I don't care how they try to spin this.

If I were you, I'd be glad he didn't endorse Edwards, desmoinesdem.
