Were any elected officials or notables on hand? What was the estimated size of the crowd?
I saw Rep. Mark Smith of Marshalltown, Rep. Elesha Gayman from the Davenport area, and Rep. Ako Abdul-Samad from Des Moines. All 3 endorsed Obama.
William Myers, an Obama supporter, who is running for Congress in the 4th district was there.
I also saw Rob Hubler, who is running against Steve King in the 5th District.
