Marc Ambinder is reporting Barack Obama met with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for breakfast this morning.
Sen. Barack Obama will set vice presidential speculation on fire with a brief stop to say hello to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, himself an occasional presidential flirt. The meeting appeared on Bloomberg's schedule, which was distributed to reporters last night. You hear rumors all the time about possible Clinton Vice Presidential candidates, such as Wesley Clark, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, and former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack, but this is the first name mentioned as a possible VP candidate for Obama. I think the perfect VP candidate for Obama would be Richardson. However, Obama could tout his bipartisan approach by appointing someone like Bloomberg or Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA).An Obama aide said the meeting was scheduled because of "mutual interest" and did not know whether the two had met before.

No, I don't believe Bloomberg would agree to be anyone's VP. Too big an ego.
Obama has to go ultra-safe if he's the nominee, and he's got to pick someone with national security experience.

Really interesting blog, cheers. Sounds like Obama's picking up momentum again, but it still looks like Hilary vs Liar Giuliani to me.
Bloomberg Obama ticket goes forward when Clinton Democrats close "their party," and throw out the Obama camp. Obama camp will look for a new home.
Bloomberg could be good home, and good balance. Campaign is still long - even if Republicans have a candidate, democrats don't.

For starters, the communities at-large is in dire need, and supports political change, advancement, and trusts Barack Obama for a bi-partisan olive branch of change that we can be raised through asking Michael Bloomberg to serve his country and aid in actualizing the advancement of this great nation through a central coalition guided through the wisdom and commitment of a proposed Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy Jr. These leader can do it through there leading the coalition forward to dissolve the Great American Crisis with a New Big Deal of Change. What can we do for our country beyond party lines for One Nation under God? The people desire nothing less than -- respect.
