Today, President Bush vetoed the expansion of the SCHIP bill that would have expanded health care coverage to 4 million more children. I applaud the President for ignoring the whining of these children.
Who cares if 72% of Americans disagree with the President on this issue. Back when I was a kid, I would play outside all day. If I got hurt I would just slap a band aid on and be right back outside.
Today, kids get chauffeured around town by their parents while they listen to their iPods. When they get home they plop down in front of the TV and play video games all night. It is time the kids drop the Harry Potter books, put the Game Boy away, and pull themselves up by the straps of their flip flops and get their own health care insurance.
Everything in this post is completely sarcastic in nature. I am appalled by Bush's lack of compassion and it is morally indefensible to veto the SCHIP bill.

wow, i thought for once you were actually making sense on an issue. that will never happen....schip is just the next step in ruining this country = socialism.
It's sad to see people put a vague fear of socialism before health care for children. How many of the 28% can express a cogent argument against socialism? How many of the 28% can even define socialism?
