Progressive Iowa Network Organizing Conference Saturday in Iowa City

On Saturday, I am attending the Progressive Iowa Network Organizing Conference in Iowa City. It will be great to discuss issues such as clean elections, CAFO's, Fair Share, health care, and media issues and meet other activists.

This afternoon I received this email from Charles Chamberlain from DFA mentioning that he will be attending also.

Here is the email and more information about the event...

On Saturday, June 9th, from 9am to 3pm progressive leaders, activists and legislators from across the state will converge on Iowa City for the Democracy for Iowa Organizing Summit. I'm going to be there and I hope you'll join me.

Please RSVP: http://www.dfalink.com/event.php?id=20502

We have an unprecedented opportunity to get progressive legislation passed in our state. However, in order to achieve legislative victories on the issues that we care about, we must establish an effective framework that allows us to better organize our efforts, clarify our message, mobilize our base, educate the public and influence our state officials.

That's why Democracy for America members in Iowa will be uniting with like-minded progressive organizations and networking with activists from throughout the state for this one day summit of planning, organizing and fun. Best of all, there is no cost to attend.
