Bush's Veto Denies Funding for Our Troops

Today, Bush issued his 2nd veto of his administration by vetoing a bill that would provide the funds our troops need to finish the war and come home safely. Ironically, this occured on the 4th year anniversary of Bush's infamous "Mission Accomplished" declaration.

CT Bob asks what will actually happen when the money runs out. I pretty much agree with his assessment.

Does anyone really think that George Bush will insist our forces to stay in Iraq beyond the date when supplies run out? At the cost of their lives? Not likely. They'll come home.

However, I fear our Democratic leaders will fail us and cave to Bush. We're in Vietnam again and nobody seems to care.
We need to remind our Democratic leaders to stand on principle. The line has been drawn in the sand and Democrats can't back down on this important issue.

Send Sen. Harkin, Rep. Braley, Rep. Loebsack, and Rep. Boswell an email telling them why our troops must be brought home.
